Laurie is an award-winning photographer, website designer, and book publisher from Hamilton and Surf City, NJ. With sand between her toes, the self-taught enthusiast was inspired by a “Brady Bunch” rerun and started developing B&W photos in her parents’ kitchen while in the 7th Grade. Now Laurie shares her combined passions for photography and LBI with her talented daughter.

Gregory Hnath is from Jackson and has loved the beach since he was a child. He received his first camera as a present in 1998 right before one of his family’s vacations to Long Beach Island and has been interested in photography ever since. He enjoys being able to mix his love of the beach and photography on a regular basis, especially in his favorite place, Wildwood Crest.

Rebecca is a senior at Livingston High School and is enrolled in photography. She had spent every summer growing up in Seaside Park, and decided what better place to capture than the community that brought her so many memories. From its tranquil settings to its exhilarating moments, Rebecca spent her entire summer photographing the Jersey Shore from ever angle.

Kelly is a 4th & 5th grade Gifted & Talented teacher in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. She was born and raised at the shore. During the summers, she frequents the lifeguard races with her uncle and uses her passion for photography to capture the action. These and her vast library of nature photos are used to enhance her classroom décor.

Scenic photography has been a hobby of Rick’s for many, many years. As with snowflakes, no two sunsets, or sunrise, are alike, especially at the beach! Spending every weekend between March and November on Long Beach Island has been Rick’s paradise for 28 years. Hurricane Sandy may have taken his home, but not his spirit and love for LBI.

Stephanie is a local of Ocean City with a background in Graphic Arts, a degree in Applied Science and the owner of Wipe Out Cleaning Service. When not working she enjoys nature, animals (especially her 3 legged dog Winston), painting, photography and doing anything that challenges her creatively. She particularly loves shooting photos of sunrises and sunsets against the beautiful backdrop of the Jersey Shore.

Peter is a 22-year-old student at Atlantic Cape Community College who is passionate about photography and most enjoys taking pictures locally.

Elizabeth is a Physical Rehabilitation nurse presently living on South Jersey who has lived in New Jersey her life. The Jersey Shore has always been her place of refuge where memories of a lifetime were created. She is passionate about both the Jersey Shore & boardwalks.
Name: Katie Walling – 10th Place

Katie Walling is a Coastal Engineering student who grew up living and loving the beach life. She has always had a passion for the ocean and marine environments. In between surfing, wakeboarding, and boating, Katie loves photographing the shoreline and capturing nature from unique perspectives.
Name: Mary McCusker – 2nd Place

Mary McCusker is from Voorhees, NJ and has been going to Brigantine, NJ her whole life. She is currently a junior at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia studying marketing and English, and she freelances in photography, graphic art, and other media services. She can’t wait to travel after she graduates.

Gerrie Cali is a former speech pathologist that grew up in northern New Jersey. She has many fond memories of vacationing with her family at Seaside Heights, Atlantic City and Wildwood. Having lived in numerous states across the US, she and her husband decided to return to the Jersey shore for their retirement in 2004. She is an amateur photographer who enjoys walking on the beach and capturing the ever changing landscapes.

Julian Colon is a Mechanical Engineer from Montclair, NJ. He grew up spending his summers in the beautiful town of Lavallette. As an avid photographer, Julian enjoys walking along the shore with his dog and capturing picturesque moments.
